Big Things Can Come in Small Packages

This might not apply to everyone, but I’ll give it a shot.  For me, it was a great find !

Most travelers have a laptop with an open PCMCIA card (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association if you just HAVE to know).  Unless you have a wireless modem (which most are going to USB anyway), this little piece of precious computing real estate is usually left unused.

Enter the Wireless Garden Stash Card

This is essentially a little drawer that is in the same form factor as a PCMCIA card, but with a hinge that opens up to reveal a super, secret hidden compartment.  Obviously there is not a great deal of room in the compartment, but enough room for:

1)  SD or Transflash Memory Cards.  It does ship with a plastic insert for two SD cards, but I tossed mine to open up more space.

2)  Memory Card Adapters.  I use it to hold a Transflash to SD adapter to make transfer of my phone pics to computer easier.

3)  Pre-Paid SIM cards.  Perfect place to keep track of those tiny little cards for each country.

4)  A couple extra bucks (or Yuan, TWD, Euros, etc).  Never know when you will need some emergency cash.

5)  A slip of paper with some phone numbers or account numbers.  Glue it to the inside of the cover to save some space.

6)  Anything else your creative mind can think of !

And the best part, is that this is super cheap !  Only $3.99 at Amazon (Click the link here of course).

This is the best way to keep together all the “little stuff” on your trip without taking up any extra space.

I don’t know about you, but the PCMCIA slot on my laptop is the last place I would ever think of to hide anything, so I guess that it makes sense this there is now a product which utilizes this easily overlooked area.
