United has cut back a lot of the promotions they used to run in previous years. I have been watching them come and go, but this one popped up, and I had to report on it for a couple reasons:
1) I live in the Chicago area
2) LAX and SFO are huge hubs for Asia and other destinations
3) It is includes double EQM’s too !
If you do not already know, EQM’s are the miles you need to accumulate to earn status on the airline. Status is king. The higher you go, the better chance of your upgrades going through, better availability and just a better chance of being cool in general.
